Welcome to the KEI website.
Our KEI goal
is to bring Electro-technology to people.
Electronics is a very
dynamic industry with new ideas and discoveries happening every day.
There are many career opportunities available worldwide from electrical service
personnel to the
specialist engineers in Avionics, Biology, Mechatronics, Computer sciences,
Building indusrty and Process plants.
With such a fast growing
industry it is important people are well equipped with the knowledge
and know-how and have access to materials so that they can the gain the
necessary hands-on experience in today’s industry.
To facilitate this
demand KEI will provide various products and information services to help
people quickly understand this technology and learn how they can use it into
practical ways.
First hand experience with this technology is fun for
many,
it is rewarding, provides an exciting challenge and will boost self confidence
and vision.
To explore electronics
in a practical way KEI has produced a kit set product called PicPatch.
The PicPatch is a small microcontroller interface circuit board that it can be
configured in various ways and programmed for different applications. This
flexibility provides a useful tool for both electronic education or as a
permanent control system for an industrial application.
Such applications may include a new toy invented by a student or a farmer who
wants a specilised
automatic gate control system.
KEI provides the service for preassembled kits with power pack supply options for classroom education tools and for specific industry applications.
We also provide systems support, software development and OEM product design services.
Please see our Support page.
Various information sheets on PicPatch and other supporting documents are also available.
These documents including the project sheets
and a power point application are also available for
purchase on compact disk.
Please see the Product / Application tree.
Product data sheets include:
Various project sheets
are available with questions and answer to practical applications.
These project sheets start with a basic application and progress to more
complex problems.
They are structured for Level 2 and Level 3 New Zealand Electro-Technology NZET
unit standards.
Tutor information and answers to the questions are located at the end of each project sheet.
Specific unit standard numbers will be listed in due course.
KEI Ltd is working closely with members of the New Zealand Electro-Technology Industrial Training Organisation ETITO, local business contacts, high schools and local polytechnic.
ETITO established the New Zealand Brightsparks
forum which has local district members employed throughout
